in consultation initially with Gert Biesta and subsequently with other team members
Background & Expertise
Lecturer at Mid-Cornwall College / St Austell College from 1976 to 2003 teaching
various GCE subjects and Liberal Studies for part-time and full-time vocational
courses; responsible for part-time teacher education from 1984 (C&G 730) and
for establishing Cert Ed (FE) / PGCE (PCE) of Exeter University in St Austell.
College-based research fellow for Transforming Learning Cultures in FE.
Current research interests include: Life history research and adult dispositions
to learning; Adult and Community Learning; Experiences of young people on
vocational courses in FE; Teaching and Learning; Notions of professionalism
in post-compulsory education.
